Because
our products are used for temperature control, the model numbering system
is slightly different from the numbering of protectors.
(Model designation method 1) In the case of the TPS

(Model designation method 2) In the case of the TPS

(Model designation method) In the case of the High Temperature Thermostats

Model name
Please make sure to leave a space after the model name to avoid confusion
between the model name and the operating temperature
Operating temperature
TPS(within a range of -10~110°C)
High Temperature Thermostats (within a range of 150~400°C)
(Preset temperature include some tolerance)
Configuration of contacts
X: Contacts will open when a temperature goes up
X(bar): Contacts will close when a temperature goes down
Y: Contacts will close when a temperature goes up
Y(bar): Contact will open when a temperature goes down
Note: X and X(bar) are exactly same product.
In case of an accurate temperature control is necessary when a temperature
goes up, specify X.
In case of an accurate temperature control is necessary when a temperature
goes down, specify X(bar).
Specify Y and Y(bar) with the same method.
Please see the following diagram with contact configuration, operation
temperature and temperature factors

MQT8H K35XC represents a thermostat with crossbar contacts (K means
crossbar contact).
For 5 Amp. Series with a back contact, a model name will be, for example,
M3 70XZB, where Z means contact with the back contact.
Above diagram also shows you an operation of thermostat with back contact
Y/Y(bar) type, the open/close will be opposite in case of X/X(bar).
Differential rank (in the case of the TPS)
A(3±1), B(4.5±1.5), C(6.5±1.5), D(10±2)
Matsuo thermostat standardizes C for X/X(bar) contacts and B for Y/Y(bar)
contacts.
Please carefully specify the differential ,if necessary, since the maximum
current will be reduced in accordance to a specified Differential.
Please see PDF for 2 amp 5amp series.
Guidelines for Ordering. Please state the following when you order
1. Model name
2. Quantity
3. Setting temperature and setting tolerance
4. Differential (ON/OFF temperature difference)
5. Contact configuration [ X, Y, X(bar), Y(bar) ]
6. Load capacity and type
7. Rate of change of ambient temperature and wind velocity, etc.
8. Power supply voltage and AC or DC
9. Other information such as applications, operating conditions, etc.
in as much detail as possible.
The more precise, the better we will be able to serve you.
Matsuo is pleased to accept your order without Model , simply tell us
your application so that we can specify an appropriate thermostat.
